American Maritime Modernization Association

Welcome. The American Maritime Modernization Association (AMMA) was established in 2002 to promote the accomplishment of cost-effective, professional and responsible shipboard modernization through the use of best value commercial sources.

The principal goal of AMMA is to maximize cooperation and communication between
Forces Afloat, the Navy’s modernization professionals, and the maritime modernization
industry, thereby promoting timely operational and economic benefits of technological
advances in naval systems. Members include the largest corporations in the industry
and membership continues to grow.

AMMA represents AIT contractors nationwide and is committed to improving the
effectiveness of AIT participation in ship modernization through—

• Planning and scheduling.
• Installation, testing, and quality of product.
• Logistics support.
• Management and administrative practices.
• Economy and efficiency.

As the voice of AIT contractors and the single POC for AIT issues, AMMA seeks to help meet the challenge of integrating AIT tasks and processes into CNO and other availabilities.

We would like your company to consider joining AMMA. Fill out a membership application to apply.
